JA Ocean View Hotel Dubai

The JA Ocean View Hotel Dubai is a hotel that really has it all. With a fabulous location it is ideal for beach lovers, shoppers and the foodies with plenty of restaurants within the easily navigated area. If it’s your first time to Dubai and you have been procrastinating about location, then you will not be disappointed with the choice here. But enough about it’s great location, it’s within the hotel itself that you will find everything that makes your holiday experience an excellent one. With great and varied facilities, the JA Ocean View Hotel Dubai is a superb choice for families, couples and the business traveller.

I always take great care in selecting and recommending a hotel and this one ticked all my boxes and indeed I had a wonderful stay. As a comparison, I also stayed in two other hotels in Dubai and the JA Ocean View Hotel is miles ahead on knowing what the consumer wants. It has the right touch of luxury that leaves guests impressed but importantly doesn’t burn a hole in your hip pocket.

The JA Ocean View Hotel Dubai

I arrived at the JA Ocean View Hotel just after midnight and the check in was a smooth process. There was no waiting around (maybe because it was midnight after all) and the staff were great and very affable. After a quick and concise run down on what was on offer at the hotel and I’ll add here that it was quick because I was exhausted from a long haul flight from Australia and bed was the only thing on my mind. There was plenty of time in the morning to ask any questions and I was armed with hotel information pamphlets in the meantime. Once up to my room, my luggage followed promptly and I jumped straight into the king size bed and was blissfully off to sleep in no time at all.

The Room

I stayed in an executive room on the 23rd floor, which was spacious and had a great view over “The Palm Jumeirah”, the public beach and the shopping area below. The bed was super comfy, the room was well appointed and the decor was stylish, fresh and clean. It’s the kind of room that you don’t mind hanging out in rather than just a place to simply rest your head.

The Restaurants

The JA Ocean View has a number of dining options available for what ever suits your style.

Le Rivage Brasserie (pictured below) serving breakfasts, lunch and dinner. I can certainly attest that the breakfasts were fabulous, with plenty of choice. The staff were so friendly and by the 3rd day the egg chef new my preferences. On a busy day with a business group lining up, the chef called out to me in line and said have a seat and he will bring me my eggs! Now that is service!
Caffe Via for those on the go snacks, open 24 hours
The Deck | Sehr Al Bahar located poolside offering cocktails and snacks. In the evenings the area becomes an Arabian themed restaurant and features a belly dancing show
Girders | Girders Garden a sports bar with live bands, Dj’s and beer garden
Tribeca taking inspiration from New York, this restaurant and bar serves a fusion of Mediterranean and American food.
Penthouse 25 Bar and Lounge is located on the 25th floor where you can take in the fabulous views of the Palm Jumeirah whilst sipping on cocktails.

Executive Lounge

If you are staying in an executive suite, you will be able to take full advantage of what’s on offer in the executive lounge. Situated on the 24th Floor, the lounge offers breakfast, afternoon tea and pre-dinner drinks and canapés, along with a host of other features.

The high tea you can expect, served with Twinings Tea.

Guest Facilities & Services

The JA Ocean View Hotel offers it’s guests many extras at no extra cost. You can discover Dubai with a free shuttle bus service leaving the hotel three times a day, to all the major tourist attraction. The JA Ocean View hotel has a sister hotel in the JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel, where you can also take advantage of the facilities on offer there and the private beach.

Pool

The pool is located on the 3rd floor which overlooks the beach. There is some construction going on opposite on the beach which can be seen in the distance. This will eventually be a tourist attraction similar to the London Eye. This will make for some great photos from the pool when it is complete. There is also a kiddies pool, plenty of sun lounges and seating surrounding the pool. If you tire of the pool and want to hit the beach, the resort offers you a ‘beach kit’ to take down to the beach. The kit consists of beach towels, beach mat and an umbrella. The beach can be accessed from the elevator located at the end of the pool area.

Calm Spa & Salon

At the calm spa and salon you can treat yourself to a variety of massages, aromatherapy, sauna, jacuzzi and Elemis products. There is also a hair salon for your hair styling needs.

Jumana Fitness Centre

Keeping fit is easy with the fully equipped gymnasium, sauna and jacuzzi. Along with Speedflex, a high intensity exercise session running for 45 minutes.

Coolzone Kids Club

Located on the 2nd floor the Coolzone has lot’s of activities for children and an outdoor playground. Fully supervised by UK trained staff and caters for ages 3-12 years.
