Sunset, Neos and the Burj Khalifa
Sunset, Neos and the Burj Khalifa – three elements necessary for an impressive night out in Dubai. If you find yourself in Downtown Dubai then this is one experience that you should not miss out on. Grab a friend or go by yourself (as I did), the ambiance is wonderful and the view is an absolute knockout. The best way to see the worlds tallest building is to be sitting in a building right across from it and preferably with a cocktail in hand. Get down or rather get up to Neos around sunset and watch the sun go down right beside the Burj Khalifa. It’s hands down the best view in Dubai!
Inside Neos
Neos overlooks the the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountains and the Dubai Mall. Looking down or at all three is a pretty impressive sight. Neos is the up market bar located in the equally impressive hotel “The Address” and offers those who grace this venue 360 degree views over Downtown Dubai. Inside Neos you will step into a world that’s sophisticated and exudes a classy art deco interior.
There are great seating areas with both tables and chairs, along with couches and coffee tables, all nestled inside a dazzling interior.
During my visit, I found that the staff were very friendly and polite. They allowed me to sit anywhere I liked (it was quiet at the time) and gave me the drinks menu. Whilst my drink was being made, another staff member saw me with my camera and asked if I wanted my photo taken, to which I was grateful for as I was in here by myself. As I mentioned before that it was quiet and that was because my visit coincided with Ramadan. There was no music whilst I was inside (no loud music is allowed to be played during Ramadan) but normally they fire up the ‘house’ style music around 9 p.m.
The View
Neos has floor to ceiling windows and 360 degree views. It’s positioned perfectly facing the Burj Khalifa and overlooks the Dubai Fountains. If you manage to get a table by the windows then you will get to enjoy the dancing fountain show below every 30 minutes. If you take a walk to the other side of the bar, you will have a view beyond Downtown Dubai. As the sun goes down, the high rise buildings all begin to light up and make for some great photos.
The sun setting along side the Burj Khalifa is an incredible sight and something not to be missed.
Dining
Neos is more of a lounge bar, rather than fine dining and as such offers light meals and snacks. Now don’t think to yourself that the food is simple, as it isn’t – it’s delicious food that is presented beautifully. On the menu you will find Wagyu beef, caviar, quail and tasting plates. Prices are as what you would expect in a classy 5 star hotel.
If you would like a window view then you must pre-book a table as these are very popular. If you visiting during the off season then you shouldn’t have any problems in getting a window table. When I visited it was very quiet due to Ramadan, I had just turned up without a booking. I got there just on sunset and there was only one other couple in the entire venue at this point in time, so we got the pick of the seats. It began filling up around 9 p.m with most people eating late or others just popping in for a drink.
Getting to Neos
Neos is located at The Address Hotel in Dubai on the 63rd floor. To get to the bar, you need to go to the underground car park (P4) and take the elevator located on this level. It’s quite odd to be walking through the underground car park but on the way you will also see some impressive cars in that car park! Once you find the elevator, it will take you to the 61st floor and upon exiting you are required to take another elevator to the 63rd floor. There is a dress code which is smart casual.
The lobby on the 61st floor that takes you up to the entrance of Neos on the 63rd floor.

Thanks for sharing your great pictures. The view sounds amazing. I can see why it fills up so quickly. I agree that I would like to be there at dusk and watch the sun go down, while the lights of the buildings go on. Thanks again for sharing.
