The Bali Niksoma boutique Beach Resort is an outstandingly run resort that shows how effortlessly customer service should be. Hotels in Bali are officially on notice, as the Bali Niksoma sets the standard on how to treat their guests. The big advantage here is that there are only 57 rooms in this resort, so it doesn’t feel overrun with people and therefore no chance of becoming an invisible guest. The Bali Niksoma was designed by renowned Indonesian architect Hadi Prana who has created a contemporary boutique style resort that still retains traditional Balinese influences throughout. With beautiful immaculate gardens, two stylish restaurants, a large infinity pool and an enviable beach front position, it’s little wonder that guests don’t want to venture beyond their sun lounge. Of course if you must venture to the beyond, you will find the resort close to shopping, cafes, bars and restaurants and let’s not forget the beach right in front. The Bali Niksoma The moment you step inside the Bali Niksoma you will be greeted by staff members who will make you feel right at home. I was sat down on a sofa, my bags attended to and a staff member gave me a glass of fresh passionfruit and mango juice to sip on. By the time I had finished my juice my check-in was complete (I did not leave the sofa) and then I was being escorted to my room. This really sets the scene – the service continued this way throughout my seven day stay. The Room Once you have entered the room, you will be given a run down of the room features and what to expect from the resort itself. There are lot’s of great inclusive activities that happen in this resort but more on that later. I stayed in a spacious deluxe room on the top floor in room 521. I can highly recommend the deluxe rooms if you need a bit of space to spread out. The room features are: King sized bed, Large modular lounge suite and coffee table Widescreen TV, Air-conditioning, Stocked minibar, complimentary tea, coffee and ample bottled water. Safe for valuables There was also a good sized balcony with a modern timber table setting and a view overlooking the resort. Room 521 had a partial view to the sea. The bathroom was spacious enough with a shower over the bath, feature lighting and clean facilities. The rooms feature some nice touches – fresh fruit bowl and a special treat are the cakes brought to the room each night with the bed turn down service. Complimentary toiletries and plenty of bottled water are replenished each day. Exclusive guest benefits Being a guest at the Bali Niksoma entitles you to some great benefits and exclusive activities included in your stay. Breakfast A full and large buffet style breakfast that can be enjoyed anywhere in the resort, including by the pool, and is included in the tariff. If you are in need of a good coffee then the Bali Niksoma’s resident Barrista has this covered. Cocktail Party Monday nights feature a cocktail party for guests. Whilst you mingle with staff and other guests, you will be served two types of cocktails and canapés. This is a fabulous night which runs for around an hour and you can have as many cocktails as you like. The food served is excellent and it’s an opportunity to chat and get to know the staff. This is included in the tariff if you are a guest. High Tea Wednesday afternoon is reserved for an exquisite afternoon tea. Between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. guests can enjoy a selection of Twinings tea, along with delicious cakes, pastries and savoury treats. This is included in the tariff if you are a guest. Acoustic Dinner & Hitana Restaurant Friday night is entertainment night, with an acoustic singer playing all the current hits in the Hitana Restaurant. Hitana is the on-site restaurant, serving an a la carte menu, with a good selection of both Indonesian and western food. They also have a ‘happy hour’ where you can enjoy two for one cocktails. The other restaurant by the Bali Niksoma is Mozzarella which is located in a separate building next door. You are able to charge the bill to your room and they also offer a two for one cocktail with dinner. BBQ night Sunday nights feature an all inclusive seafood and meat BBQ and a cultural dance performance. Visala Spa The Bali Niksoma has an onsite wellness spa retreat offering the guests a chance to indulge in some pampering and relaxation. There are a variety of massages available and start from IDR 325,000. Gymnasium Keep yourself fit over your stay and work off all those lovely treats, with the fully equipped gymnasium. Or perhaps the complimentary morning yoga is more your style. Pool The pool is another stand out at the Bali Niksoma. Guests can enjoy a choice of two pools over two levels. The top pool is an infinity pool that spills over to the shallower one below. The infinity pool looks out to the ocean, giving it a lovely view. There are plenty of sun lounges surrounding the pool and throughout the gardens, so finding one is never an issue. There is also a full pool service and complimentary towels. The Verdict The Bali Niksoma is truly a beautifully run resort, with the utmost highest standard of customer service. Hotel staff welcome you as more than a guest, you are part of the Bali Niksoma family. I loved my stay here and can highly recommend the Bali Niksoma for solo travellers, couples and groups.
